June 13: Phnom Penh

We made it!!!
After a looooong journey (we forgot how long it takes to get here), we landed about 6pm last night.
There was a very warm welcome from Villa Langka staff.
Before we emerged today Shawna had a very auspicious early morning.
She walked across the street to Wat Langka and met "the" top" monk of Cambodia!
Shawna was so excited she could hardly speak about her adventure to us and her mother will be soooo proud of her.
The rest of our first day was as amazing as it started for Shawna:
Graduate Chhay Srey, husband Nimol and daughter Amara came to Villa Langka after lunch.
What a wonderful little family they make.
Asrey works periodically for a micro-financing group.
She is off to Rattanakiri on Monday for a 3 month project. After that they have her going to Siem Reap!
Her work may or may not stop for a while after that.
It is sporadic, but good pay.
Kimna and family arrived at 6 for dinner.
Meeting Kimna, Srun and Youy was great. They gave us a tour of the city before and after dinner. Went to Koh Pic to see the massive building project by the Chinese. Also saw the 2nd NAGA World Casino going up.
Phnom Penh is growing by leaps and bounds!
